Account and Getting Started

Yes. Creating an account lets you save songs, instruments, and practice sessions.

Log in, open your dashboard, select one or more songs, and click Practice.

Research on skill development consistently shows a useful cycle: set specific goals, plan focused practice, then track outcomes and adjust. Specific goals increase motivation and direction, structured practice improves skill transfer, and tracking helps you refine the next session instead of repeating the same mistakes.

Dashboard and Recommendations

Suggested Focus items are personalized recommendations based on your recent practice activity, goals, and repertoire recency. Use the i icon on each card to see why it was suggested.

Yes. Click the x on the card to dismiss it. Dismissed suggestions are saved per user and can appear again after 5 days if they are still relevant.

In "Refresh Your Repertoire", the Practice Overdue Songs button starts a new practice session using only repertoire songs that are overdue, not your entire repertoire list.

Melody evaluates song status, active goals, and recent practice behavior. For example, songs close to completion or goals marked "Almost Learned" can be prioritized in Suggested Focus.

Practice Session Features

Each track now uses a single toggle timer button. Click play to start timing and click the same button (which changes to pause) to stop timing.

Yes. In Practice Session you can upload or link media, select a video or sheet music file per active track, and create timestamped video bookmarks with editable notes.
